
Simulation results for five days in summer: shown in the upper section of the graphic, are the operating temperatures of both rooms (one with, one without cooling), and the outdoor temperatures. In the lower section, the proportion of melted material in the storage tank is depicted. If 100% of the storage tank's paraffin is melted, the (latent) storage capacity is exhausted. This graph also shows that in the hottest summer weeks, an additional heat sink (e.g. ground water or cooling tower) could help to regenerate the heat storage tank.
