08. Nov 2006 - Relaunch of the website www.enob.info

Abstract
The website of the research programme "Energy-Optimised Construction" (referred to as EnOB, an abbreviation of the equivalent German term Energieoptimiertes Bauen) is being completely reworked, and the first of the content is online as of today. "Energy-optimised construction" is an important focal area in energy efficiency research, and is sponsored by the German Federal Ministry of Economics and Technology. As research into "buildings of the future" (the guiding concept of the programme) is becoming ever more important, the projects, activities, and results of research, are to be communicated to professionals in the public in a new impressive format.
more details
The website www.enob.info is conceived as a research showcase, and shows the various projects and activities of the EnOB research network in context. The most important EnOB projects and activities are given a "business card", which describes them in a compact and concise format, with links to topic-related information, and to the more detailed scientific project description. enob.info is conceived as a superportal which can be linked to various project portals, and can be continually extended and updated on the basis of a powerful content management system. The BINE Information Service in Bonn is responsible for content management of the new website, and works together with the research teams to compile and prepare the project information and news from the research network.
