Routes to energy-plus schools

Abstract
Date: 15-16 June 2011
Location: Hohen Neuendorf
The symposium is taking place for the fourth time. This year the event is focussing on energy-plus schools and will be taking place in the newly completed energy-plus school in Hohen Neuendorf near Berlin. In addition, other current school projects will be presented including two energy-plus schools that are still undergoing refurbishment. A further topic is the newly developed incentive contracting model that was developed and tested for the “3-litre house” school in Marktoberdorf.
More details
Improving the energy-related quality of school buildings is an urgent task for the public sector, education providers and designers. As part of the EnOB “Energy efficient schools” research area, the German Federal Ministry of Economics and Technology is therefore funding pioneering model projects for both existing buildings and new-build schemes.
