LowEx conference: Integrating the Low Exergy Approach

“The Future for Sustainable Built Environments – Integrating the Low Exergy Approach” is the title of a one-day conference on the subject of low exergy (LowEx). The focus will be on the latest developments and project results in the area of low exergy systems for buildings and settlements. The conference will be aimed at universities, research institutes, energy service providers, and at industrial firms and planners which are active in the relevant areas.

The conference is being organised in cooperation with the IEA project ECBCS Annex 49 “Low Exergy Systems for High-Performance Buildings and Communities” (www.annex49.com) and the EU project “Analysis and Design of Innovative Systems for Low Exergy in the Built Environment”, a current research project (www.costexergy.eu) that is part of the COST programme.
The conference will have three main topics:
- Concept of exergy
- Research results in the area of exergy systems
- Component development for buildings and settlements
