Framework project EnBop

10 November 2011 - 2nd EnBop Forum: Information and communication technologies for buildings

In Stuttgart, invited practitioners and researchers from EnOB’s Commissioning, Optimisation and Monitoring research area, known as EnBop for short, will be discussing the possibilities for using innovative technologies and tools for managing the building operations. A focus of the 2nd EnBop Forum will be on the use of information and communication technologies for operationally managing buildings. The event is conceived as a workshop and is limited to 30 participants. It is being organised by the Institute of Building Services and Solar Technology (IGS) at TU Braunschweig in conjunction with Steinbeis-Transferzentrum Energie-, Gebäude- und Solartechnik in Stuttgart.

This workshop provides an overview on the latest results and the status of technologies resulting from the related Implementing Agreements of the International Energy Agency (IEA). Participants of this workshop will receive an overview on the results of international collaborative R&D work in the fields of the IEA Energy Conservation through Energy Storage Programme (ECES) and the IEA Solar Heating and Cooling Programme (SHC).

Workshop ModQS – Automatisierte Fehlerdiagnose in Heizungssystemen am 14. 9. 2011
Framework project EnBop

14 September 2011 - ModQS workshop – Automated error diagnoses in heating systems

Minor corrections – major effect: In existing buildings, correctly adjusting the parameters for the building services systems can be enough to save between 5 and 30% of the energy consumption. The ModQS research project intends to develop a practice-oriented process that will quickly and securely identify savings potential and, by means of suitable corrections, optimise the building operation. Initial projects and results relating to heating systems will be presented in a workshop and actual case examples will be discussed.

15-16 June 2011 - Routes to energy-plus schools

The symposium is taking place for the fourth time. This year the event is focussing on energy-plus schools and will be taking place in the newly completed energy-plus school in Hohen Neuendorf near Berlin. In addition, other current school projects will be presented including two energy-plus schools that are still undergoing refurbishment. A further topic is the newly developed incentive contracting model that was developed and tested for the “3-litre house” school in Marktoberdorf.

Das Modulare Nullenergie-Depot. Tagung am 12. Mai 2011 in Benediktbeuern. Veranstalter: Fraunhofer IBP

12 May 2011 - Modular, zero-energy storage depots

The event intends to show new approaches to renovating storage depots and archive buildings, since although the collections in museums and archives may not always be at the centre of public attention, they nevertheless provide important testimony to our intellectual and cultural heritage. In addition to research and conveying knowledge, collecting and conserving are important tasks of traditional museum work. The conference will be held at Europäisches Kompetenzzentrum für Energetische Bausanierung und Denkmalpflege, which is based at the Benediktbeuern Monastery.
