October 20.-22. 2008 - 8th ICEBO Conference, 2008

The International Conference for Enhanced Building Operations (ICEBO) is focussing on how buildings can achieve the performance striven for in the design phase during actual use. It is concerned with the continual enhancement of building operations. For this purpose the conference wants to organise an international discussion between the fields of specialist planning, architecture, energy management, politics, organisations and administration, investors, energy suppliers and science.

October 1.-2. 2008 - EnOB symposium: On the road to zero energy buildings

The EnOB symposium, entitled ‘On the road to zero energy buildings’, is once again aimed at exchanging ideas between research and practical construction and planning. Various EnOB research teams will offer an insight into current projects, but the main focus on the two-day event is zero energy buildings. This is the first time that EnOB fields of New Constructions (EnBau) and Refurbishment (EnSan) have appeared together at the event, taking place in Dresden this time around.

May 7th 2008 - Buildings of the future – new perspectives from research

On 7 May 2008, BINE Informationsdienst is presenting new perspectives for buildings of the future in Berlin. Speakers from research and planning practice will be presenting different concepts and projects that can be applied to both new and existing buildings. When combined together and fully mature, these will fundamentally change the way we supply energy to buildings. The half-day event is being held as part of the "Berliner Energietage" – Berlin Energy Days - conference and trade fair.

April 7.-8. 2008 - 2nd Ecobuildings Conference

The Ecobuildings Conference is presenting project outcomes and experiences from four European demonstration project initiatives, which are being jointly presented under the European Ecobuildings label. The two-day conference will mainly focus on the special requirements and challenges involved in constructing and refurbishing public buildings. In addition to demonstration projects, various design tools will be presented as part of the lectures. These are almost fully matured and can be deployed in the design, implementation and occupational phases.

Fachforum Energieeffizienz in Gebäuden in Brasilien - mygeo.info

February 19th 2008 - International specialist forum: "Energy Efficiency in Buildings in Brazil"

This international specialist forum is the first information event as part of the Energy Efficiency Export Initiative organised by the German Federal Ministry of Economics and Technology. In addition to talks by experts on Brazil and practice reports from companies active in Brazil, Professor Andreas Wagner (fbta, TU Karlsruhe) will discuss the current state of research in energy optimised building and present the Ministry’s EnOB key research area.
